Safety Integrity Level (SIL)

BACKGROUND:

Dalam keselamatan fungsional, Safety Integrity Level (SIL) (dalam Bahasa Indonesia disebut sebagai tingkat integritas keselamatan) didefinisikan sebagai tingkat relatif pengurangan risiko yang disediakan oleh fungsi instrumen keselamatan (SIF, Safety Instrumented System), yaitu pengukuran kinerja yang dibutuhkan SIF.

Dalam standar keselamatan fungsional berdasarkan standar IEC 61508, empat SIL didefinisikan, dengan SIL4 sebagai yang paling dapat diandalkan dan SIL1 sebagai yang paling tidak dapat diandalkan. SIL yang berlaku ditentukan berdasarkan sejumlah faktor kuantitatif yang dikombinasikan dengan faktor kualitatif, seperti penilaian risiko dan manajemen siklus hidup keselamatan. Namun, standar lain mungkin memiliki definisi nomor SIL yang berbeda.

Desain dimulai dari proses pembelian barang, pekerjaan engineering, konstruksi sampai dengan commissioning. Sejalan denga proses tersebut, factor keamanan seharusnya masuk dalam semua tahapan.

Karena itu program pelatihan Safety Integrity Level (SIL) ini sangat berguna bagi peserta untuk mendapatkan kemampuan tentang cara perancangan serta pembuatan desain, analisis, dan engineering report pada project dengan juga mempertimbangkan tentang factor keamanan produk desain yang kita buat.

OBJECTIVES:

Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk:

  • Memahami konsep dasar dan pentingnya Safety Integrity Level (SIL) dalam sistem keselamatan industri.
  • Menjelaskan hubungan antara risiko operasional dan kebutuhan tingkat integritas keselamatan dalam suatu proses.
  • Mengidentifikasi metode untuk menentukan SIL yang sesuai berdasarkan analisis risiko dan kebutuhan sistem.
  • Memahami standar internasional seperti IEC 61508 dan IEC 61511 yang relevan dengan SIL.
  • Memberikan pengetahuan tentang pemilihan, penerapan, dan evaluasi perangkat keras dan perangkat lunak untuk mencapai SIL yang ditargetkan.
  • Mengembangkan kemampuan untuk melakukan verifikasi dan validasi SIL dalam sistem instrumentasi keselamatan.
  • Meningkatkan kesadaran akan keselamatan fungsional dan dampaknya terhadap kinerja operasi.

ABOUT THE COURSE LEADER:

Ir. In Jumanda Kasdadi, M.T

Mr. Jumanda, a dedicated lecturer, has conducted nearly 280 training sessions (both public and in-house) for various industries, with a strong focus on oil and gas companies since 1997. He holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Chemical Engineering from the Institute Technology Bandung. In addition, he has completed nine specialized courses in the oil and gas sector at PETEX (Petroleum Extension), University of Texas at Austin, in Houston, Texas, USA, in 2018.

Apart from his formal education, Mr. Jumanda possesses numerous professional certifications. These include a Lecturer Certificate from the Indonesian Minister of Education, Construction, Electrical, and Fire Protection Certificates from the HSE Association Indonesia (ALPK3), and Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) Facilitator certification. He is also certified in Instrumentation Engineering Design for Oil & Gas Projects with INtools (Ref. No OGC01-170516200516-2839), HAZOPS, and HAZID by the Indonesian Certifying Agency (BNSP).

Mr. Jumanda has delivered training to prestigious companies, primarily in capital-intensive industries. His clients include Pertamina, PHE, PHI, PHR, PHKT, PGN, Chevron, ConocoPhillips, Total Indonesie, CNOOC, Medco, PetroChina, Star Energy, Freeport, Mubadala, Indonesia Power, geothermal companies, KAI, the US Consulate, SKK Migas, Titas (Bangladesh), as well as companies in the petrochemical and mining sectors.

Ir. Jumanda K, MT, has also been directly involved in key projects such as Feasibility Studies (FS), Front-End Engineering Design (FEED), Detail Engineering Design for Construction (DEDC), Risk-Based Inspection (RBI), HAZID, HAZOPS, QRA, FTA, and SIL Classification. His work spans national and international companies, showcasing his extensive expertise and experience in the oil and gas industry.
