BACKGROUND:

In modern power generation and industrial systems, ensuring the reliability and continuity of operations is paramount. Substitution Equipment & Control Relay play a critical role in maintaining system integrity, providing backup solutions, and automating essential processes.

As equipment ages or technology evolves, it becomes necessary to replace or upgrade these components to avoid system failures and improve operational efficiency. This training program is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills to effectively manage, substitute, and calibrate control relays and other critical equipment.

OBJECTIVES:

After completing this course, participants will be able to:

  1. Understand the fundamental principles and functions of substitution equipment and control relays & how it works.
  2. Identify and assess the condition of existing relays and equipment to determine the need for substitution.
  3. Develop and implement strategies for effective relay substitution while minimizing downtime and operational disruptions.
  4. Perform accurate calibration and testing of control relays to ensure optimal performance and system reliability.
  5. Interpret technical documentation and relay schematics to facilitate substitution and troubleshooting processes.
  6. Apply industry standards and best practices for relay substitution and control equipment manage
