Power Generator Excitation System
BACKGROUND:
The excitation system plays a crucial role in ensuring the stability, reliability, and efficiency of power generators. By controlling the generator’s output voltage and reactive power, the excitation system helps maintain the performance and synchronization of the power grid. A well-maintained and properly operated excitation system is essential to prevent system failures, enhance power quality, and optimize energy generation.
In Indonesia, with its rapidly growing demand for electricity and diverse power generation sources, understanding the principles and operations of the excitation system is increasingly important. This training is designed to equip participants with comprehensive knowledge of the excitation system, including its components, functions, maintenance strategies, and troubleshooting techniques. The course will provide both theoretical and practical insights tailored to the unique needs of Indonesia’s power generation industry.

Ali Mashar, M.Eng.Sc., IPU graduated from New South Wales University (UNSW) Sydney Australia. His core expertise is power and control or electrical engineering. He used to be Head of the Study Program of energy conversion engineering Poltek ITB (POLBAN) and lecturer. He is also head of the laboratory of energy engineering PEDC.
Mr. Ali has delivered in-house & public training classes since 2010 covering specific topics on electrical & control system, energy conservation.
