Sistem Proteksi Pembangkit listrik merupakan perangkat yeng melindungi pembangkit secara umum. Pembangkit sendiri adalah suatu sistem yang menghasilkan energi listrik dari sumber energi mekanik, biasanya melalui cara induksi elektromagnetik. Proses ini dikenal sebagai pembangkit listrik (electricity generation). Dalam dunia industri, generator sangat berguna untuk mengatasi semua kegiatan dalam perusahaan yang membutuhkan ketersediaan energi listrik. Maka dari itu, keberadaan pembangkit ini harus dioperasikan secara benar.
Kinerja generator selain dipengaruhi oleh aspek pengoperasiannya, juga sangat dipengaruhi oleh faktor pemeliharaannya. Kesalahan dalam melakukan pemeliharaan akan menyebabkan gangguan vibrasi dan menurunnya kemampuan sehingga kinerja unit juga ikut menurun. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut, diperlukan personel yang berkompeten dan ahli.
Melalui training ini, peserta akan diberikan pembekalan mengenai teknik dan penerapan pemeliharaan generator yang tepat di unit pembangkit. Peserta akan diberikan pengetahuan dan pemahaman mengenai aspek-aspek engineering pada sistem pembangkitan tenaga listrik. Pembahasan dalam pelatihan ini akan lebih ditekankan pada pengoperasiannya, proteksi, dan pemeliharaan generator maupun sistem penggerak mulanya.
OBJECTIVES:
Setelah mengikuti pelatihan, peserta latih diharapkan mampu:

ABOUT THE COURSE LEADER:
Ir. Ali Mashar, M.Eng.Sc., IPU graduated from New South Wales University (UNSW) Sydney Australia. His core expertise is power and control or electrical engineering. He has been head of the study program of energy conversion engineering Poltek ITB (POLBAN) and lecturer. He is also head of the laboratory of energy engineering PEDC.
Pak Ali Mashar has delivered in-house & public training classes since 2010 covering specific topics on electrical & control system, energy conservation. Companies where he shares his expertise are local & multinational companies such as: Indonesia Power, Pemda Papua, PT. Badak, Cogindo, Star Energi, Chevron, Freeport and some others.
Other than teaching he has done many real projects related to power generation and many energy audits.
