BACKGROUND:
Pada Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Uap (PLTU) berbahan bakar Batu Bara, Soot Blower dan Pulverizer merupakan alat-alat yang sangat penting. Soot blower berfungsi untuk membersihkan tube pada boiler pada Heat Recovery Area (HRA) yaitu area Superheater, Economizer, Reheat, serta pada Air Heater dari kotoran/slag yang menempel. Sedangkan Pulverizer merupakan penyedia serbuk bahan bakar batu bara untuk diumpankan ke dalam ruang bakar (furnace) boiler. Pulverizer selain juga merupakan salah satu komponen boiler yang paling berbahaya khususnya terkait dengan potensi kebakarannya. Oleh karena itu, dalam pengoperasiannya, pulverizer harus dapat penanganan yang tepat oleh para operator yang berkompeten. Demikian pula dengan sistem proteksinya harus memiliki keandalan yang tinggi.
Atas dasar itulah training ini menjadi sangat penting bagi para tenaga teknik/engineer yang terlibat dalam pengoperasian, pemeliharaan dan pengelolaannya. Training ini akan dipandu oleh trainer yang memiliki pengetahuan dan pengalaman yang sangat memadai di bidang pembangkit, khususnya PLTU.
Objectives:
Setelah mengikuti training ini para trainee diharapkan memiliki wawasan teknis tentang:
- Konstruksi soot blower dan pulverizer
- Operasi kerja soot blower dan pulverizer
- Potensi bahaya dan proteksi sistem pulverizer
- Mampu melaksanakan pengoperasian Boiler lokal pada unit PLTU batubara sesuai dengan persyaratan dengan batasan yang berlaku untuk mencapai target kinerja yang ditetapkan sesuai standard operating procedure (SOP)

About The Course Leader
Ali Mashar, M.Eng.Sc., IPU, is a distinguished graduate of the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Sydney, Australia, with core expertise in power, control, and electrical engineering. He has served as the Head of the Energy Conversion Engineering Study Program at Poltek ITB (POLBAN) and as a lecturer. Additionally, he leads the Energy Engineering Laboratory at PEDC.
Since 2010, he has conducted both in-house and public training sessions, focusing on specialized topics such as electrical and control systems and energy conservation. His expertise has been shared with numerous local and multinational companies, including Indonesia Power, Pemda Papua, PT. Badak, Cogindo, Star Energi, Chevron, Freeport, and several others.
Beyond teaching, Ali Mashar has been deeply involved in real-world projects, including power generation initiatives and numerous energy audits, showcasing his commitment to advancing practical applications in his field.
