BACKGROUND:
In Indonesia especially in the upstream oil and gas business as well as the manufacturing business and other heavy industries. There are similar problems where the age of the plant and the main equipment which statistically have the majority aging condition for more than 30 years. Problems of aging absolences and low qualifications of workers that frequently produce human errors are the main obsolesces to the many decreasing production targets that are desired as the highest by all parties. Therefore, a uniform vision and an understanding of how to achieve production targets are needed by maintaining assets so that they remain available with high reliability even though they have been in operation for a long time.
In the end, how the right maintenance strategy can be used as a way to ensure and represent positive economic factors from the capital investment and operating costs spent will be taken into future consideration for the management to make the right decisions and remain profitable.
