Advance Project Economics & Risk Analysis Strategic Planning & Portfolio Management of Oil and Gas Upstream Business in Indonesia
BACKGROUND:
The oil and gas industry in Indonesia is navigating a transformative period, characterized by evolving regulatory frameworks, advancing technologies, and shifting market dynamics. As the country aims to enhance its energy security and sustainability, the role of advanced project economics and risk analysis has become increasingly crucial. Understanding the intricacies of Production Sharing Contracts (PSCs), both Cost Recovery and Gross Split mechanisms, is essential for industry professionals tasked with maximizing economic returns and managing risks. This intensive training course is designed to equip participants with the advanced knowledge and practical skills needed to excel in this dynamic environment.
OBJECTIVES:
The primary objective of this training is to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of advanced project economics and risk analysis within the context of Indonesia’s upstream oil and gas sector. By delving into detailed cash flow analysis, sophisticated valuation techniques, and the specific economic implications of PSC mechanisms, attendees will gain the ability to make informed financial decisions. Additionally, the course aims to enhance strategic planning and portfolio management capabilities, enabling professionals to optimize their project portfolios and align them with long-term organizational goals.
Structured over three intensive days, the course begins with a thorough exploration of advanced project economics and PSC mechanisms. Participants will engage in detailed sessions on discounted cash flow techniques, real options valuation, and stochastic modelling, followed by in-depth discussions on PSC Cost Recovery and Gross Split mechanisms. The second day focuses on advanced risk analysis and strategic planning, covering risk assessment methods, mitigation strategies, and economic optimization techniques. The final day is dedicated to portfolio management, project evaluation, and practical case studies, providing a holistic view of project economics and strategic decision-making.
By the end of the training, participants will have a robust understanding of advanced project economics and risk analysis tailored to Indonesia’s oil and gas industry. They will be equipped to perform complex financial evaluations, develop effective risk management plans, and implement strategic planning frameworks. Additionally, attendees will be adept at optimizing project portfolios to balance risk and return, ensuring sustainable and profitable operations. The course will also highlight future trends and innovations, preparing professionals to adapt to and capitalize on the evolving landscape of the oil and gas sector
