Background:
Drilling and Well Completion are two critical phases in the lifecycle of an oil and gas well. A successful drilling operation not only ensures the structural integrity of the wellbore but also lays the foundation for effective production and long-term safety. Comprehensive understanding of well design, drilling fluid behavior, equipment selection, and completion strategies is essential to minimize risks and maximize well performance in the long run.
This training program is structured to provide a solid technical foundation as well as a practical perspective for professionals involved in drilling & completion operations. The content covers all key stages, including SHE aspects — from well planning and rig setup to casing, cementing, and the installation of wellhead and Christmas tree — ensuring participants gain both theoretical and operational clarity.
Delivered by an experienced industry practitioner in former Caltex Pacific Indonesia Area, other PSC Company in Indonesia & Middle East Area, this course offers more than textbook knowledge. – Well design, drilling fluid, drill string and BOP / wellheads & BHA design for proper deviation
– Drill a well cost effectively and maximize penetration rate avoid potential problems by optimizing hole cleaning and ROP
– Initial well completion and running in hole the completion string, installing wellhead and Christmas tree until ready to operate the well
