Well Completion and Workover

BACKGROUND:

Well Completion and Workover are two activities in oil and gas industry, regardless it is oil or gas wells. Initial completion is the activities to allow production fluid to flow into the well bore and eventually flow to surface facilities. Workover carried out when the oil or gas production start declining overtime. Hence as it is said, Workover done over and over. Well completion normally done once in a life time of an oil/gas well. However, workover done almost regularly when Production Engineer see the posibility to improve production rate.

Oil and gas activities involve high capital investment and high risk as the operation deals with flame able fluids, high pressure and high temperature. Therefore, whoever involve in the activities must be knowledgeable, qualified ones and better to have enough experience. However, in fact not all people involved have enough prerequisite to do the job. As such, supplementary training should probably be required to ensure the activities carried in safe, technically sound and environment friendly.
