Overview:
Compressors play a critical role in oil & gas, petrochemical, power generation, and process industries, where reliable gas compression is essential for production continuity, efficiency, and safety. Modern compressor packages operate at high speed, high pressure, and increasingly stringent environmental requirements, making sealing systems a key element in overall compressor reliability. Dry gas seal technology has become the industry standard for centrifugal and high-performance compressors due to its ability to minimize gas leakage, reduce friction losses, eliminate oil contamination, and support emission control targets. Compared to traditional sealing methods, dry gas seals require a deeper understanding of gas dynamics, pressure management, seal support systems, and operating discipline to ensure long-term reliability. Compressors and Dry Gas Seal System Operation & Maintenance is now become one package in plant operation.
This course provides a comprehensive understanding of compressor operation and dry gas seal systems from both operational and maintenance perspectives. Participants will gain insight into compressor mechanical design, performance behavior, surge phenomena, and interaction with instrumentation and control systems, followed by in-depth coverage of dry gas seal principles, operation, installation, commissioning, and maintenance practices. Emphasis is placed on practical field experience, troubleshooting logic, and real operational challenges commonly encountered in compressor and dry gas seal applications.
